Report on Ufford Parish Council Meeting on June 22nd
1. Planning permission has been granted for the conversion of the brewery at the White Hart to 4 bed and breakfast accommodation units.
2. PCC has adopted the revised Ufford Village Design Statement (now called Design and Development in Selected Villages). This means that, when making planning decisions for Ufford, planners have to take into account the guidelines which were based on residents` preferences.
3. UPC agreed to the purchase of a projector so that plans can be displayed on a wall of the Village Hall. This will be essential because PCC will soon cease sending paper plans and send them electronically.
4. Complaints about dog fouling continue to be received and the PCC Dog Warden will be invited to attend the September meeting.
5. It was agreed to continue the tree and hedge planting programme in the parish in the coming planting season and £500 has been given for this purpose by the Barnack ward fund.
6. A village social evening is proposed for November 22nd and residents are invited to join a small sub-committee to organise it. Please let Frieda know if you would like to volunteer.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 9th starting at 7.30pm at Ufford Village Hall. All welcome to attend.
