Parish Council Reports Aug 2010

Report on Ufford Parish Council meeting on July 13th
1. Village broadband and computer training. The meeting was attended by Bernard Kane. The parish council is continuing its efforts to liaise with the Village Hall committee and set up a broadband connection in the Village Hall because it is thought that many residents may not have access to a computer or may not be making full use of their computers, and it was agreed that a letter would be sent to every household giving details of training which could be offered.

2. Traffic calming. The final decision on speed signs could not be made because of a delay in the decision about the contribution from the City Council.

3. Closure of Ufford Church. Reluctantly the parish council had to accept this decision.

4. Southey Woods. The gates will be left open during the summer holidays.

The parish council does not meet in August unless comments are required on a planning application so the next meeting will be on Tuesday, September 14th.
